Global Operations

Corn Products International operates in a global marketplace. To ensure that it maintains a competitive edge wherever it competes, the company has created a regional operating structure unlike any other in its industry. This regional approach, relying on the expertise of local sales, marketing, product development and engineering professionals to compete in their own markets, ensures that we know our markets better than our competitors. At the same time, our global product development and systems operations ensure that we can share new product ideas, systems, and operational expertise around the world.

The Company’s North America region includes corn-refining businesses in Canada, Mexico and the United States. We are the only North American corn refiner with full-scale starch and sweetener facilities in all three NAFTA countries.

Corn Products International is the largest corn refiner in South America with leading positions (based on grind capacity) in the countries where we operate. Our South American operations span Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay. Joint ventures and alliances enhance our market capacity and competitiveness.

Asia/Africa is a region of exceptional potential. Our Asia/Africa division processes corn and tapioca in this region, with operations in China, Kenya, Pakistan, South Korea and Thailand. A sales and marketing business in Malaysia and technical licensing agreements in South Africa extend Corn Products International’s reach in this region.

The Company’s stock is traded on the NYSE under the symbol CPO.
