Corn Products International is committed to working with our neighbors to support strong communities where we live and work. We conduct business with integrity and with respect for the interests of our internal and external constituencies.
Responsible Business Practices. Four core values lie at the heart of our Policies on Business Conduct: Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Financial Success. Our reputation and success as a business have resulted from our adherence to the high moral and ethical standards that have embraced by our company since 1906.
Environmental Stewardship and Safety. Corn Products International operates its facilities with an emphasis on the safety and well-being of our employees. The Company operates a corporate-wide safety program that promotes consistent and safe work practices and procedures on the job.
As a corporate neighbor in our communities, Corn Products International recognizes the importance of maintaining environmentally sound manufacturing operations. The Company has adopted a set of environmental stewardship principles that are operative at each plant, office, and warehouse world wide.
Corporate Giving. Philanthropic gifts are made by Corn Products International to strengthen charitable agencies and/or to advance cultural, civic, social or humanitarian causes. Corresponding to our global presence, these financial contributions are made at the local, national and international levels. In addition, the Company encourages employees to make charitable donations through payroll deductions or one-time gifts as part of its annual giving campaign.
Matching Gifts Program. We offer a generous matching gifts program for all eligible charitable donations made by employees. Through this successful program, Corn Products directs upwards of 40 percent of its total corporate giving dollars to support organizations identified by its employees.
Community Support. In addition to supporting organizations valued by employees through financial and in-kind contributions, Corn Products International seeks to strengthen local organizations where we operate. Employees volunteer their time and the Corporation donates supplies and funds to support civic and social support agencies that help to ensure the safety, education, wellness and economic development of local communities.
Educational Foundation. The Corn Products International Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) private foundation designed to help defray undergraduate education costs for children of Company employees. Since its inception in 2002, this program has awarded nearly 100 college scholarships.
