CPO Named One of America's Best Big Companies
WESTCHESTER, Ill., Jan 07, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Corn Products International, Inc. (NYSE: CPO), a leading global provider of agriculturally derived ingredients to diversified industries, has again been named one of America's 400 Best Big Companies by Forbes magazine.
This is the fifth year that Corn Products International has earned a spot on Forbes' Platinum List of America's Best Big Companies. The recognition appears in the January 12, 2009, edition of the magazine. Corn Products International is among 17 companies listed in the "Food, Drink and Tobacco" category, one of 26 industries included in the list.
Forbes reviewed nearly 1,000 publicly traded companies with annual revenues of $1 billion or more for potential inclusion on its list. Assessment criteria included sales and earnings growth (short- and long-term), debt to total capital, stock market returns, governance ratings and earnings outlook.
Forbes has published its Platinum List since 1999.
